Through its activities, the 39th National Assembly continues the policy of addressing the issues related to Bulgaria’s EU accession and to the approximation of the national law with the Union’s. The high expert capacity and professionalism of the current Parliament are a substantial prerequisite for the attainment of these strategic goals.
The active involvement of the NGOs in terms of this manifested consistence in the policy objectives stated by the Bulgarian Government as well as the wide public consensus for a full membership to the EU, is a proof of determination of the government and non government sector for a quick and smooth running of the negotiations. The very basis of the European integration is the legislative reform where the participation of the NGOs raises the overall efficiency of law-making process ensuring its sustainability, independence and transparence. The established practice of involvement of the non government sector in the launched legislative initiatives and amendment proposals brings about for a high level approximation of the national law with Acquis Communautaire.
